From Remote Systems Integration, the leading independent AWOS and navigation aids installation and maintenance company, comes a revolutionary AWOS data delivery service. Announcing RSINet!

If you have an AWOS at your airport, you know pilots have come to rely on it for information critical to flight planning and safety. This information is available via your ground to air frequency and the telephone. RSINet takes your AWOS data further, distributing it to FAA Flight Service Stations, Air Traffic Control facilities, and flight briefing services through the National Airspace Data Interchange Network (NADIN) every 20 minutes. From there, the FAA distributes the data to commercial flight planners, weather data companies, The Weather Channel, and the National Weather Service.

The benefits:

  • Pilots in-flight making critical landing decisions will have the latest weather at your airport via air traffic controllers, in-flight data systems, and flight service stations.
  • Pilots on the ground will be able to access your airport weather from anywhere, using aviation and flight planning web sites.
  • Weather sources such as The Weather Channel and your local TV station will now receive your airport’s weather through their automated data collection systems.
  •

But we don’t stop there. NADIN only accepts report every 20 minutes. The RSINet technology allows REAL-TIME 60 second observations from your AWOS to be forwarded to department of transportation centers, city management services, and other agencies needing up to the minute weather information.

The RSINet difference: How it Works

RSINet technology represents a quantum leap from any other AWOS data delivery system. Once connected to your AWOS, RSINet establishes a secure broadband, always-on IP based connection from your AWOS data port to our Network Control Center via a redundant terrestrial network. Unlike satellite-based systems, RSINet is immune to rain fade, a phenomenon which causes other systems to fail during heavy rain just when the data is needed the most. Plus, RSINet is a dedicated network, so something as simple as a busy phone line won’t interrupt your service. The equipment is small, with no bulky satellite transmitters and no large dishes, and the RSINet technology leaves the old dial-up systems in the dust. The equipment is not much bigger than a deck of cards, and requires no additional computers or phone lines.  RSINet is ready and able to handle the next generation of AWOS hardware, and many more features are in development right now.

        Outstanding support

RSINet comes to you from Remote Systems Integration, with our 15 years of AWOS installation and maintenance experience behind it.  Our support program is simple and beyond compare:

We offer free installation, free lifetime on-site maintenance, a lifetime equipment replacement warranty, and full technical support to your AWOS technician.

The bottom line is this: If your RSINet system fails for any reason other than vandalism or abuse, we’ll replace it at no cost through the life of the contract. If we need to come to your airport to do it, we will.

        Low cost:

Best of all, RSINet costs a fraction of other systems, and is AIP eligible. We know funding is sometimes an issue at GA airports, so RSINet has several payment options to help you get online fast.
